“old friends” is an underrated relationship dynamic because it’s such an innocent boring sounding term for what is usually some of the wildest shit imaginable. it’s always like ‘oh yeah we go way back, we have history’ and then you find out that history includes sex, drugs, murder, divorce, war crimes and The Incident
Early design explorations I did for the Lee family home during my short time on Turning Red. It felt really nice to be on a project where I felt like could I could draw from my personal experience growing up in an Asian-immigrant family. I had a lot of fun throwing out ideas of specific things that could make the home feel lived in and authentically Chinese-Canadian :)
